Domain and email hosting
If you're not ready (or don't want) to put a full web site into production, but you do
want to reserve a domain name and/or use email, this is the option you need.
A domain hosting plan allows you to register your domain name and maintain functioning
email addresses at that domain. Your domain name will be secured and there is no need to
have a web site at the domain address.
Email addresses at a hosted domain are standard POP3 mailboxes and can be used with any email
client that supports the POP3 protocol (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Eudora, etc.).
Email addresses also come with webmail access (allowing you to send and receive email from
a web browser), and spam filtering.
Email accounts come with additional free, optional features such as mail forwarding
(mail sent to an address at your domain is forwarded to one or more other email address),
autoresponders (anyone mailing an address will be mailed an automatic response), and
catch-all addresses (mail sent to non-existent addresses at your domain can be funnelled to
a single account).
